When people truly see the stories hidden in plain sight, they act differently. Our films, training, and community initiatives spark that understanding.

There are people and experiences behind every issue that the world chooses to ignore. Room to Care was born from a very simple idea, that when we open our eyes and see these experiences, we can create space for understanding and empathy.
Our passion is telling stories that, we believe, are more than just awareness, they are a gateway from experience into action.
Through filming initiatives, education, and survival storytelling, we explore complex issues and create a gateway for others to care enough to act.
Our inaugural project, Through Their Eyes, reveals the secret world of human trafficking, but it is just the tip of the iceberg. At Room to Care, we exist because there are stories that can’t remain untold and because it is a reminder that compassion is not a privilege, but an obligation.

Our First Story Begins Here
Through Their Eyes: The True Cost of Silence Behind Human Trafficking is the first program of Room To Care, and it is an immersive storytelling and training experience that shows just what human trafficking truly looks like, and how it can be identified.
By presenting gripping survivor stories, authoritative expertise, and compelling narratives, this program gives its viewers firsthand encounters with the secret truths that are occurring in their own communities.

How We Work
“Compassion shouldn’t be rare. Sometimes all it takes is one story told with honesty to change how the world sees.”
— Scott Burch, Founder & Executive Director

Educate
Our projects aim at creating immersed and story-based experiences that educate people and organizations on human issues.
Every story is an educational tool, one that changes perspectives and develops empathy

Empower
We amplify genuine voices of survival, expertise, and advocacy, all of whom shed light on truths that need to be surfaced.
By empowering people directly affected, we can be assured that all messages have roots in experience.

What is Room To Care?
Room To Care is a new non-profit that develops educational content addressing human issues. Our mission is to help people translate empathy into actions by raising awareness and connecting people and organizations with issues that remain hidden, and we're kicking this off through our flagship initiative, Through Their Eyes, addressing human trafficking issues.
Is Room To Care a registered nonprofit organization?
Room to Care LLC is currently transitioning into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This process ensures transparency and accountability in how we handle funding, partnerships, and community impact. During this transition, all contributions directly support program development, expert collaborations, and survivor partnerships.
How is Room To Care different from other awareness campaigns?
By and large, most awareness campaigns end at education—we take it further. Our program, Through Their Eyes, weaves together elements of storytelling, survivor testimony, and formal education into cinematic experiences that aim to drive home an understanding and actionable response. Our efforts enable people not only to care but to know what they can do about it, too.
Will the programs Room To Care make be available for free?
Our aim is accessibility for all. Some of our content, especially awareness-related content and survivor experiences, would be freely available to all members of the public. However, larger educational content would often be licensed by organizations and businesses, thereby providing us revenue that would help us create more content that has a lasting impact, and ultimately helps to support some of these survivors that we feature or highlight in our content as well. Every paid partnership enables us to have free content on our platform.
How can I get involved or support Room To Care?
There are many ways that you can help us and get involved, whether that be through donations, sponsorship, offering your expertise, or just spreading awareness of our mission. You can stay up-to-date on all of our projects and ways that you can get involved by reading our updates or contacting us today!
