Through Their Eyes Production Update: Filming Starts Next Week
Our first survivor interviews for Through Their Eyes begin April 28th. Here's what that means, what you'll see, and what we still need.

Next week, we start filming!
April 28th through May 1st, we'll sit down with the first survivors willing to share their experiences on camera for Through Their Eyes. This has been a long time coming, and we don't take it lightly.
Every person who agrees to be interviewed is trusting us with something that cost them. Any behind-the-scenes photos we share from this first round of filming will protect the identities of the individuals on camera. We want to give each person time to process what they shared before anything goes public, and we want to make sure we have everything in place to do it right when the time comes.
What you will see are glimpses of the process: the set, the work, the weight of what it takes to build something like this the right way.
We're still looking for survivors willing to participate, specifically those with experience in labor trafficking, familial trafficking situations, and digital exploitation from subscription platforms. These are perspectives that don't get enough space in public conversations about human trafficking, and Through Their Eyes won't be complete without them.
We're also still raising the funding to keep filming. Production costs are real, and we're committed to doing this at a standard that respects what survivors are giving us. If you want to help make sure these stories get told, you can contribute at givebutter.com/RoomToCare2026.
Next week is a milestone. We'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Through Their Eyes Production Update: March 20th 2026
If you have been following Room To Care over the past several weeks, you may have noticed the pace of our blog posts slow down. We have not lost momentum. We have shifted it. Through Their Eyes has officially moved from pre-production into production, and we wanted to tell you what that means.

Meet the Director
Most nonprofit founders start with a mission statement. Devon "Scott" Burch started with a feeling he could not shake: that the people who needed the most help were often the ones no one was paying attention to. On his 39th birthday, our founder shares his story in his own words. This is the first post in a new series introducing the people behind Room To Care.
